Job Description

About Us

We are a full-service marketing agency deeply rooted in digital marketing, integrating strategy, creative, engagement, and technology to drive measurable growth for our clients. Our cross-functional teams collaborate to deliver data-driven marketing solutions that maximize impact across branding, media, customer engagement, and lifecycle management.

We are seeking a Data Scientist to work on-site in Cheshire, CT and partner with Strategy, Media, Creative, Client Services, and Development teams to transform data into actionable insights, guide decision-making, and enhance the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. In addition to informing client work, this role will play a critical part in building and advancing our proprietary AI-powered tools, particularly our AI-Powered Business Intelligence platform, where you will collaborate with developers to embed advanced data science and machine learning capabilities directly into our technology solutions.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)

  • Audience Analysis & Segmentation

    • Define and size total addressable markets (TAM) for client initiatives.

    • Segment audiences into meaningful personas using behavioral, demographic, psychographic, and cultural data.

    • Enrich personas with cognitive biases, cultural influences, and brand affinities to inform creative and messaging.

  • Campaign Optimization & Measurement

    • Build, implement, and maintain marketing mix models (MMM), multi-touch attribution (MTA) frameworks, and media performance dashboards.

    • Recommend A/B and multivariate testing to optimize creative, targeting, and media allocation.

    • Work with the reporting team to ensure relevant real-time and post-campaign insights to internal teams and clients.

  • Modeling & Forecasting

    • Develop and apply statistical and machine learning models (e.g., regression, clustering, PCA, decision trees, ARIMA forecasting).

    • Forecast campaign outcomes, customer acquisition costs, and lifetime value.

    • Use predictive insights to shape go-to-market strategies, media planning, and CRM campaigns.

  • AI & Proprietary Tools Development

    • Collaborate closely with the development team to embed data science and AI capabilities into our proprietary platforms, especially our AI-Powered Business Intelligence tool.

    • Build and deploy machine learning models and algorithms for integration into client-facing and internal tools.

    • Continuously improve automation, scalability, and predictive accuracy of our technology solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with creative teams to test how data-driven insights inform messaging, visuals, and storytelling.

    • Work with media planners/buyers to refine media mix strategies and budget allocation.

    • Support CRM and lifecycle management by modeling churn, retention, and engagement drivers.

  • Data Storytelling & Reporting

    • Translate complex models and data sets into clear, visual, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

    • Replicate and expand upon deliverables like persona deep-dives, psycholinguistic analyses, TAM sizing, and campaign performance forecasts.

    • Present findings in client meetings, strategy workshops, and internal sessions.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Data Scientist in this role will:

  • Deliver audience-first insights that influence creative strategy and messaging.

  • Produce predictive and performance models that improve campaign ROI and inform future strategy.

  • Act as a strategic partner across all agency teams, enabling data to be a central driver of decision-making.

  • Continuously improve measurement frameworks to capture cross-channel marketing effectiveness.

  • Clearly communicate complex findings in simple, persuasive ways that clients and teams can act upon immediately.

  • Contribute to the evolution and adoption of our proprietary AI-Powered Business Intelligence tool by embedding advanced models.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, etc.) or equivalent experience.

  • Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases.

  • Advanced skills in Python or R for statistical analysis, modeling, and machine learning.

  • Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and mathematical modeling.

  • Experience with statistical learning methods: regression, clustering, PCA, decision trees, Bayesian inference, MCMC.

  • Hands-on experience in marketing analytics solutions: Customer Segmentation, MMM, MTA, churn/retention modeling.

  • Familiarity with media channels (TV, radio, print, search, display, social, email, ecommerce) and their measurement frameworks.

  • Knowledge of martech/adtech tools: Ad Servers, DSPs, DMPs, CRMs, syndicated research sources.

  • Strong communication skills—able to present work clearly to internal teams and clients.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills

  • Experience with psycholinguistic or cognitive-based analysis of customer behavior.

  • Background in consumer psychology, behavioral economics, or cultural analytics.

  • Familiarity with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for large-scale data processing.

Before You Apply: Let's Get Real

We know the job hunt can be brutal. Whether you're fresh out of school, feeling stuck in your current role, or navigating unexpected market changes—the pressure to find something often overshadows finding the right thing. We've all been there: copy-pasting the same info into endless forms, hitting "easy apply" just to boost those numbers, and crossing our fingers.

But here's the thing—we want you to actually want this job.

This Role Isn't for Everyone (And That's Okay)

If great creative doesn't make you stop scrolling... if you see a killer brand campaign and don't feel that spark of curiosity about the strategy behind it... if you're not the type to wonder what insight drove that commercial that stuck with you—this probably isn't your spot. No judgment, just honesty.

What we're looking for: Someone who gets genuinely excited about the intersection of brand, creativity, and human behavior. Someone who sees advertising as both art and science, and wants to master both sides of that equation.

Here's What You're Signing Up For

The Environment: This is agency life—fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative. If you're coming from a major holding company, you'll find our pace intense but more sustainable. If you're transitioning from client-side, buckle up—you're about to experience a different gear entirely.

The Workspace: We're in-person because we believe the best ideas happen in those spontaneous hallway conversations, the quick whiteboard sessions, and the energy that only comes from being in the same room. Remote work has its place, but breakthrough thinking happens when minds collide organically.

The Growth Path: Here's something unique about our industry—the higher you climb, the more you need to become a translator between disciplines. Business speak, creative vision, data insights, strategic thinking, tech capabilities—you'll need to become fluent in all of it. It's challenging, but it's also what makes this work endlessly fascinating.

Why This Could Be Your Dream Job

If you're still reading, you might be exactly who we're looking for. You're someone who thrives on variety, who gets energized by solving complex problems with creative solutions, and who wants to work alongside people who care as much about the craft as you do.

Ready to dive deeper? We're excited to meet candidates who see this not just as their next job, but as their next adventure in building something meaningful.
